UNSTABLE CONCRETE STRUCTURE
Rate this post
While we were digging to replace the French drain, we realized that this chimney had been poured after the construction of the house. The base of its concrete form was therefore not at the same depth as the foundation footing of the house. If we had excavated under it it would have collapsed. Exceptionally, this property sits on the bedrock. So we made a metal bracket that we attached to the unstable structure and installed metal posts on the rock that we subsequently waterproofed with our “Premium Rubber Membrane” elastomeric membrane to ensure that these posts do not rust. All this in the space of a day! We were able to continue our excavation work and complete the drainage system. This is what Lesage excavation is all about!
