Previous Lesage Excavation

Lesage Excavation was founded by Patrick Lesage and his father Jean-Paul Lesage in 2006. Patrick was passionate about heavy equipment and wanted to do manual labor. His father Jean-Paul had a career as a paramedic. Patrick expressed his desire to start his own business to his father, who jumped at the opportunity. He retired from the ambulance service and invested his time and money in his son’s project.

The early days were difficult. Lesage Excavation had to offer a wide range of services in order to secure as many contracts and customers as possible. Earthworks, mini-excavation, hourly work—Patrick and Jean-Paul were willing to do anything to make a name for themselves.

Over the first few years, Lesage Excavation made a name for itself among customers as a reliable, young, and motivated company. We acquired new knowledge, and customers called us back for more services.

Patrick and Jean-Paul didn’t want to be just another excavation company; they wanted to offer a service that set them apart from other excavation companies. They quickly noticed that there was strong demand in the market for concrete repair, foundations, and old buildings.

The team had grown to more than 15 people and contracts were piling up. In the years that followed, the company evolved and forged a solid reputation in the field.

In 2020, the company logo was redesigned to reflect the company’s values and strengths. We decided to include the words “Pieux” and “Drains” in the logo in order to target a more specific customer base.

In 2026, we will celebrate our 20th year in business. We have more than 40 employees and serve hundreds of customers every year. We have a loyal customer base, trusted employees who have been with us for more than 10 years, and above all, a passion for our field.

The coming years will be busy, with many projects in our order book and our name rising to the top more and more each year!
