The owner of the house called us telling us that he had noticed several cracks in his foundation. Our expert immediately went there and took level readings on the brick. The house sinked 2 ” on one side. The movement was probably caused by a drying of the clay and the presence of very large trees on the edge of the house. We had to stabilize it with piles all the way to bed rock. As soon as we were finished with the job, the doors and windows and the cracks were replaced. We also waterproofed the foundations and installed a new French drain.
