Discover in video, step by step, our basement lowering project realized in Montreal West, where our client wanted to add a 9' living room to the basement of this beautiful century-old house to install a living room, a bedroom and a bathroom.
With the support of our structural engineer and architect, we were very meticulous in this project as we were faced with many challenges: the house rested on clay soil which required the installation of hydraulic piles on all the original foundations, the installation of temporary supports to support the load of the house, including the 3 upper floors.

First part: excavation and foundation piles installation
After the installation of hydraulic piles on the original foundations, we have now installed our interior French drain system all around the foundations.
his is accompanied by Delta MS drainage membranes to bring water and humidity to the drain, a catch basin and a sump pump to evacuate the excess water.
All that remains is to pour the floor slab to finalize this more than impressive project.
