As we approach our 2018 season we are evaluating the possibilities of changing styrofoam. We install mostly rigid insulation on the foundations. In this way the elastomeric membrane applied to the concrete is cushioned and can not be torn or perforated by the ground. Until now we have been installing extruded insulation but it is likely that we are changing to an expanded styrofoam. This styrofoam absorbs less moisture and has greater compressive strength. In the meantime we are working on a small secret project that we will unveil shortly!
