BADLY POURED FOUNDATION
Rate this post
This old foundation has been resurfaced over time. The line we see in the foundation demonstrates the time when there was a change of concrete mixer during pouring. Normally the maneuver that made the foundation would have to vibrate the concrete so that the joint disappear but he did not do it. If this joint would’ve been underground it would have been a problem. We would have resurface it with concrete, put an elastomeric membrane, inject polyurethane in some places and install a good drainage system at the base of the foundations. In this case the joint is above the ground then the customer only has to make a fintion plaster on it to camouflage it.
