big picture

A foundation crack can be caused by several factors. The movement of the soil may be involved, but it is mostly a drainage problem. When the foundations are poorly drained, the soil gets soaked with water and a slight movement of the foundation creates cracks in the concrete. It is not dramatic to have cracks, but they must be repaired quickly as they let water in. Therefore, they are the main cause of the infiltration of water in a house.

We use polyurethane to inject the foundation cracks. Unlike the epoxy used by many contractors, polyurethane offers flexibility for future foundation movements. Sometimes when the crack is larger, we install stabilizing steel plates. In this way, the foundation is stabilized and no movement will occur in the future.
